Tritanopia is a form of color blindness prevalent in less than 1% of males and females.
It is due to the lack of blue sensitive cone pigment in the short-wavelength cones. Those affected are unable to distinguish colors along the blue–yellow dimension. This form of color blindness is not sex-linked.
