Are these emotions? Apathy Grief Boredom Dispair Playfullness

There seems to be confusion between what is a feeling and what is an emotion. Do we as psychologists have an "official list" of emotions? The APA Thesaurus lists Apathy, grief and boredom but not despair or playfulness. Dr Joe Kiff 08:19, 1 February 2008 (UTC)

In looking at the list I share your concern. Phobia isn't really an emotion, for example. I'd suggest sticking with the APA list and/or other recognized delineations. Dr. Becker-Weidman Talk 21:51, 1 February 2008 (UTC)
