Social networks[]

Is there any link to social networks in these structures? I.e. do collectivist cultures predict a greater degree of clustering etc? 129.67.178.90 11:47, 3 June 2009 (UTC) There seems to be a pretty large bias towards collectivism--more positive attributes, etc. I edited some to clarify language and simple things, but it really seems like the article was written mostly by someone who strongly favors collectivism, though it is not impossible that that is just my own biases talking. 128.220.3.15 17:31, April 27, 2012 (UTC)a guest

I am inclined to agree with you. I think the article needs rewriting with a clear basis in the literature. So much of this is opinion. Dr Joe Kiff 01:34, May 5, 2012 (UTC)

I’ve got some of the sections rewritten to be more objective (collectivists aren’t objective generally) just now, i was grown up and raised from collectivistic environments, but the most of those environments have got me hated.Kushinadavolvo (talk) 11:23, August 2, 2020 (UTC)

Spain?[]

Spain has a "collectivist" culture? I'm not so sure about that? 51.6.82.102 23:22, July 7, 2020 (UTC) They were formerly an Arabic state prior to that a Christian army has arrived and defet the Arabic monarchy. Their linguistics has still been highly inluenced under the Arabic features, and there still have been some residential protections for the Arabs in Spain. The nowadays Arabs have still been well known for collectivism.Kushinadavolvo (talk) 11:42, August 2, 2020 (UTC)

Please tell newbies how individualistic and how collectivistic those cultures are[]

In my personal knowledge, among the collectivist cultures, Japan just has about 7% collectivist preference, with their individualist index (an index by Hofstede insights, see my refs) about 46%, given 50% to be neutral.[1]

I’m come from Hong Kong, for myself persoanlly, power distance too high, indulgence too low, and collectivist preference too high by 50% (from individualist index just 25%, according to the above given refs), it’s why i’m made to heavily suffer there.
