The spinocerebellar tract is a set of axonal fibers originating in the spinal cord and terminating in the cerebellum. This tract conveys information to the cerebellum about unconscious limb and joint position (proprioception). This tract has two main subdivisions: the dorsal spinocerebellar tract and the ventral spinocerebellar tract.

First order neurons of the Dorsal Spinocerebellar Tract for the lower half of the body are located in the dorsal root ganglion and synapse onto neurons in Clarke's nucleus. The axons of these second order neurons ascend ipsilaterally into the cerebellum through the inferior cerebellar peduncle. First order neurons for the upper half of the body are located in dorsal root ganglion and synapse on the accessory cuneate nucleus in the medulla and then ascend ipsilaterally.
