Self mutilation is a severe form of self destructive behavior where permanent physical harm is inflicted, by a person on their own body, to the extent where they remove organs, cut off limbs etc. Sometimes this occurs under in psychosis

Treatment

Some initial scarring can be helped with cosmetic techniques.
