The Wisconsin Card Sort Test is also widely used in research into schizophrenia. It is used as a measure of working memory and of flexibility in thinking. e.g.[1][2]

Schizophrenia PET scan

Data from a PET study[3] suggests that the less the frontal lobes are activated (red) during a working memory task, the greater the increase in abnormal dopamine activity in the striatum (green), thought to be related to the neurocognitive deficits in schizophrenia.
