Rotary pursuit tasks are used is a measure of motor performance.The task involves tracking a spot target on a revolving wheel, trying to keep contact with a wand. On repeated exposure the amount of contact time maintained during a timed trail can be used as a measure of motor learning and hand-eye coordination.
