Protein deficiency disorders are a group of physical disorders in which the intake or metabolism of protein is disordered. These conditions are often accompanied by symptoms of psychological importance. For example, the inability to convert fats to energy can leave people lethargic and depressed. The disorders include:
- Biotinidase deficiency
- D-Bifunctional Protein Deficiency
- Kwashikor
- Marasmus
- Mitochondrial trifunctional protein deficiency
- Protein-calorie malnutrition
- Tetrahydrobiopterin deficiency
