The Paulus Deception Scales (PDS), also known as Version 7 of the Balanced Inventory of Desirable Responding (BIDR) upon which it was based, is a measure providing scales relating to impression management, the tendency to give socially desirable answers, and of self-deceptive enhancement, a construct in which it is thought that people,s lack of insight associated with an unconscious bias may prevent them from reporting accurately even if they wished to [1]
