Outcome might occur in a number of contexts in psychology:

  • Outcome bias - One will often judge a decision by its eventual outcome instead of based on the quality of the decision at the time it was made
  • Outcome (game theory)

In psychology factors are commonly seen as independent variables and outcomes as the dependent variables, and the effect of one upon the other is often mediated by processes.
