A multitrait-multimodal matrix is a statistical method of interpreting construct validity and discriminant validity when applied to a series of different measures of multiple attributes or traits which are assumed to be unrelated.
For example supposed we took two traits neuroticism and extraversion which theoretically are considered to be uncorrelated and measured each by three methods
