Morris Rosenberg was an American social psychologist and sociologist. He developed the Rosenberg Self Esteem Scale.

He received his PhD from Columbia University in 1953.


Career[]

He was a Professor of Sociology at the University of Maryland from 1975 until his death in 1992. Prior to this he held positions at Cornell University and the US National Institute of Mental Health

He is particularly known for his work on self-esteem and self-concept.
