There are a large munber of models of clinical supervision arising from the various theories that clinicians use.
Counselling or clinical supervisors will normally be experienced in their discipline and have had further training in the appropriate models:
- Humanistic process model- Hawkins & Shohet
- Discrimination Model- Bernard & Goodyear
