Military enlistment is the process of signing up to serve in one of the armed forces. Once people have been recruited they have to be assessed for suitability and given basic training.

Assessment at enlistmentEdit

Many armed forces have criteria of fitness to serve that must be pased prior to enlistment. These requirments differ between forces but usually involve assessment of alcohol use, drug use, [[educational attainment], intelligence, physical fitness, sexual preferences.
