A lemniscus (Greek for ribbon or band) is an anatomic term. It can refer to:

In anatomy, a part of the brain, such as the medial lemniscus or lateral lemniscus. It is associated with the "What" pathway of the lateral lemniscal pathway, as in identifying where a sound is located.
