John Hilton Edwards (March 26, 1928 – October 11, 2007) was a British medical geneticist. He is credited with the first description, in 1960, of the syndrome now known as Edwards syndrome or trisomy 18. In 1979, he was elected to fellowship of the Royal Society.. His brother is the geneticist and statistician A.W.F. Edwards.
