Therapy with the dying person[]
Authors such as Kubler-Ross have long advocated the importance of facing our own mortality to work effectively with dying people. However, to what extent is this possible if we are not facing life-limiting illness? The current societal and health care context coupled with our own psychological defences mean that the experience of life-limiting illness in our clients, or ourselves, poses a number of dilemmas.
