Intersensory processes are the interacting physical and cognitive mechanisms responsible for bringing about sensory integration. These processes for example underly the perceptual motor processes of hand eye coordination in sport where ongoing physical feedback from the external world is coordinated with internal proprioceptive information in a way that allows us to catch a ball
