In immunology immunologic disorders are physical disorders that result from or result in the compromising of the immunological system. They include autoimmune disorders and allergic disorders. The following conditions can be included in this classification:
Psychologists are interested in a number of questions in this area:
- To what degree are immunologic disorders caused or exacerbated by psychological factors such as stress.
- To what degree are immunological disorders associated with mediating immunological processes that are known to be effected by psychological factors. These are identified in the field of psychoneuroimmunology and neuroendocrinology
- To what degree are immunological disorders associated with psychological factors such as personality,
