In biology, "polyphagia" is a type of phagy, referring to an animal that feeds on many kinds of food.

In medicine,hyperphagia (sometimes known as polyphagia ) is a medical sign meaning excessive hunger and an abnormally large (poly-) intake of solids by mouth.
