Main article: Adult education

High school equivalency is the attainment of educational qualifications, usually in adult education, that confirm that a person has been educated to the standard of high school diploma. This is useful for people with limited or little education to increase their qualifications later in life.

In the US the General Educational Development Tests or the High School Equivalency Diploma are used.
