Founded in 1961, the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) is a healthcare industry membership organization exclusively focused on providing leadership for the optimal use of medical informatics technology and management systems.
Among many other activities, HIMSS conducts an annual medical informatics industry trade show.
HIMMS is a sponsor for the Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise (IHE) initiative and the Electronic Health Records Vendors Association.
