Group instruction is a teaching method in which instruction is provided to groups of people in a way which consciously applies the principles of group dynamics to facilitate the activity of the group and enhance, for example, cooperative learning. This is somewhat more sophisticated than straightforward classroom instruction.

In didactic forms of group therapy such as twelve step programs and smoking cessation groups the leader while getting over the educational message will try to use aspects of the groups life to increase participants motivation and commitment.
