Geriatric psychotherapy is psychotherapy used as a treatment for older adults. Just because people are over 65 does not mean that they no longer have difficulties requiring a psychotherapeutic approach. While many of the principle of working with younger adults are still relevent older adults do present with particular aspects that require specialist responses.
