Fluid intake is the drinking of liquids and is a critical requirement for most organisms. In psychology the amount of fluid ingested is sometimes used as a measure of motivation or assumed physiological deficit associated with thirst. Fluid intake includes water intake and is an aspect of both drinking behavior and feeding practices
