Finger agnosia is the inability to distinguish the fingers on the hand. It is a component of Gerstmann syndrome.

It can be a special form of tactile agnosia or visual agnosia. In the first instance the person cannot name the fingers through touch and in the second case when looking at them.



It is present in lesions of the dominant parietal lobe
