FRAME:S[1] is a psychological therapeutic model developed by Staffan Garpebring. The model is built around a psychoeducational practice focused on treating common stress related problems youth experience in their daily life. FRAME:S have roots in a mix of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Gestalt therapy.

Theory

The model points out the circular (reciprocal) connections between perceptions (listening, looking, perceptions of the body etc), physiological reactions of the body, acting, thinking, feeling and self-perceptions, such as when you think certain thoughts you become sad and vice versa - when you are sad you think certain thoughts.

FRAME:S is an abbreviation where each letter stands for different aspects of the psyché. F = the FORMATION of the perceived reality (the FIGURE/ground process). R = REACTIONS of the body. A = ACTIONS or behaviors. M = MENTAL experience. E = EMOTIONS. S = SELF-experience, self esteem; How does it feel to be me? How do I perceive myself - in different situations?
