Experimental instructions are a consideration in experimental methods and experimental design and they are the directions given to experimental subjects participating in an experiment.

It is important on the grounds of consistency, and to prevent the transmition of experimenter bias such as experimenter expectations, that the instructions are given in a formal and reproducible way to all subjects.
