Human information storage
Encoding in the
memory refers to how the information is stored.
Baddeley (1966) investigated how information is encoded into
short-term and long-term memories.
In short-term memory the information is normally stored acoustically (as sound) as opposed to LTM where the infomation is normally stored semantically (as meaning).
