{{Refimprove|section|date=March 2013}}'''Mike Abrams''' (born July 16, [[1953]]) is an American [[psychologist]] and co-author with [[Albert Ellis]] of several works on [[Rational-emotive therapy|Rational Emotive and Cognitive Behavior Therapy]].  He was instrumental in the formalisation of Ellis' model of personality while coauthoring Ellis's only college textbook - Theories of Personality: Critical Perspectives.  After Ellis' death Abrams continued Ellis' work on Sexuality taking an evolutionay perspective to love and intimacy. In his early career Abrams was among the first non-gay psychologists to volunteer to work with people with AIDS at the Gay Men's Health Crisis in 1985 - documented in his co-authored book How to Cope with a Fatal Illness.
