The Delis-Kaplan Executive Function System can be administered ito both children and adults and takes about 90 minutes. The test examines the following executive functions:

• Flexibility of thinking
• Problem solving
• Planning
• Impulse control
• Concept formation
• Abstract thinking
• Verbal creativity
• Spatial creativity

This assesses the integrity of the frontal system of the brain and help clarify deficits in abstract, creative thinking. The value iof theses measures is that it aids the development of rehabilitations programs to help people overcome some of the impacts on daily living skills that these deficits are associated with.
