DRD4 is a gene which codes for a type dopamine receptor known as the D4 receptor. D4 receptors are considered D2-like.

Link with ADHD[]

A specific allele of this gene (known as the 'DRD4 long' variant) has been loosely linked to a susceptibility for developing ADHD[1]
