Compassionate Mind Training is a clinical technique developed by Paul Gilbert which aims to help people develop compassionate attention and imagery, thinking and behavior. The approach has been shown to be effective, reducing anxiety, depression, self-criticism and shame by increasing peoples abilities to self-soothe.
