Cognitive processes (aka mental functions or Mental operations ) are terms often used interchangeably (although not always correctly so, the term cognitive tends to have specific implications - see cognitive, cognition and cognitivism) which indicate such functions or processes as perception, introspection, memory, imagination, conception, belief, reasoning, volition, and emotion. So cognitive processes are those involved in the acquisition, processing and use of knowledge and information.Further processes are:
