The Clinical Outcomes in Routine Evaluation Outcome Measure (CORE-OM) is a part of the CORE system. It is one of the most commonly used outcome measures used in the UK
It has 34 items covering:

Reliability
Internal reliability is said to be about .94
CORE-OM as screening tool
On administration to clinical populations it is usual to find that about 20% of people do not have pre-treatment scores in the clinical case range.(Evans et al 2003). Should these clients be excluded from treatment on the basis of their low scores at initial screening? Terry et al (2007) in a study of 37 low scorers treated in a primary care service found that only three had been inappropriately referred while about half had minimized their symptom reporting on test. They found the particular difficulties of six additional subjects were simply not picked up by the CORE-OM. This suggests that the instrument should not be used routinely as the basis for whether or not to offer therapy.
