Assessment
Edit
In the assessment it is useful to try to identify exactly what the fear relates to. The wife who gets anxious around knives in the kitchen, is she afraid what they may be used for i.e. her husband might attack her with them, or perhaps she fears her own impulses and may do harm to him or the children by using the knife herself.
