The BIS/BAS Scales Behavioral Inhibition System/Behavioral Activation System (BIS/BAS)[1] were developed based on the Gray's biopsychological theory of personality which suggests that there are two general motivational systems that underlie behavior and affect: BIS and BAS. This 20-item self-report questionnaire is designed to assess dispositional BIS and BAS sensitivities.
