Aušra Augustinavičiūtė (born April 4, 1927 - died August 19, 2005) Lithuanian psychologist, author of numerous scientific theories and discoveries, the founder of Socionics.
Aušra Augustinavičiūtė was born in Lithuania not far from the city of Kaunas. In 1953 she graduated from the economic faculty of Vilnius University as a financier. She worked in the Ministry of Finance of Lithuania, then she worked as a teacher of political economics in different educational institutions in Vilnius.
She had a large number of followers in many countries of the former Soviet Union. Her scientific works, with the exception of few, were not published during the period of Soviet power, but became more and more popular during the 1990s.
Aušra was Intuitive-Logical-Extratim according to Socionics classification a.k.a. ENTP, according to the MBTI (Myers-Briggs Type Indicator) classification.
