Audiometrist is a hearing care professional who specializes in audiometry, the non-medical assessment and management of communication difficulties caused by hearing loss. Audiometrists normally hold a bachelors degree[citation needed] followed by two years of formal study and another two years on-the-job training after which they may be considered fully qualified after passing their respective state licensing requirements.
