Antineoplastic agents are substances that inhibit or prevent the proliferation of neoplasms. They include antineoplastic drugs and various toxins and hazardous materials. Psychologists are not so much interested in their mechanisms of action, but rather the way in which people's thoughts, feelings and behavior, contribute to or mediate their contact with these agents and affect the consequences of such contact.
