Hospital admission is the process of being admitted into hospital. See psychiatric hospital admission for admission into psychiatric hospitals

People with poor mental health, alongside their physical disorder, on admission to a general hospital, have longer hospital stays than control subjects. In a study of 321 respondents who completed the Mini-mental state examination, the Zung Depression Inventory, SCL-90 and the Karnofsky Performance Status Scale showed a significant correlation between psychological comorbidity and length of stay [1]
