Absolute acuity

Absolute acuity is the lowest threshold at which a stimuli is registered gy the senses. This may be at the level of unconscious processing (eg as in tachistoscope experiments) or more usually at the level of conscious self report. It is usual expressed in terms of the absolute threshold.
